When trying to print documents from Tux Paint (0.9.11) on Windows
98SE, printouts are a blank page. This problem was posted on the
list on March 27 by Bill Kendrick and one followup posted on March 28
by John Popplewell. Here is an excerpt from that discussion with
answeres to John's questions plus some more information.

-----Excerpt-----
Hi,

> Any ideas? My first suggestion to him will be to hit [ALT]-'Print'
to see if he can tweak the configuration.

[ALT]-'Print' only works in windowed mode when --printcfg is supplied
on the command line or printcfg=yes is set in the 'tuxpaint.cfg'
file.

Unfortunately, there is a bug so that the --printcfg command-line
option doesn't work and *must be omitted* for the config file option
to work.

Worth a try though.

More info would be useful:

    - is this Windows 98 or Windows 98SE?
    - what is the make/model of printer?
    - is this in 640x480 or 800x600 mode?
    - does the print-head move across the paper _as if_ it was
printing, or does it just spew out a sheet of paper?
    - do other programs print out ok? (sorry, I have to ask ...)

Answers:
-The OS is Windows 98 SE with lastest patches.
-The printers tried are Tally 8106 Color Laser, HP 4000 LaserWriter,
Ricoh 4365 Photocopier. All printers are networked through Novell
NDPS. No printer was connected directly to the computer. Since we
are trying to use this program in an elementary computer lab, stand-
alone printing is not a viable option.
-Both 640x480 and 800x600 screen modes were tried with no change in
results.
-Laser printers so no print heads, but appears to be trying to print
something.
-Yes, all Windows programs and even DOS programs (after capturing the
print queue) print with no problems.

Any ideas or more questions?
