Okay, I spoke with Doug a little the other night, to let him know, more-or-less, what I want the 'config' app. to be like. So, I'll post it here for any other FLTKers to see. :^)
I'd like the interface to be fairly well laid out. Perhaps something with tabs at the top, or a list of sections down the side, or something. In other words, keep "noprint" from being in the same group as "fullscreen" since they aren't really similar topics. ;^) The BEST would be if the app used some configuration file itself (one that I would maintain) which described what questions to ask the parent/teacher/adult, how those questions should be grouped, and what kinds of answers they should have. I guess kind of like the output file the Glade RAD tool makes for people. :^) However, it's not 100% necessary. If it's easier to just maintain tuxpaint-config alongside tuxpaint, that's fine. Since I have a tiny bit of FLTK experience from long, long ago, I can probably even keep it up-to-date myself by editing the C++ code. :^) Anyway, comments, suggestions, questions? When can we start!? :^) Doug, do you have a SourceForge.net account? If so, what is it, and I'll give you access to CVS. Thx! -bill! _______________________________________________ Tuxpaint-dev mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://tux4kids.net/mailman/listinfo/tuxpaint-dev
