Well, if I can get a whole school district full of elementary schools
using Tux Paint, I think it's definitely worth looking into.

I agree it should be an option, because in the 1.5yr Tux Paint has been
around, most have agreed that, for the audience (very young kids), having
no "Save As" dialog is a Good Thing(tm).

However, in this case, they can't live without it, due to the way the
students all share the same network login.

It might be suitable to provide a Windows option to fire up the Win32 API's
save-as dialog, but I think simply letting students type in a name for the
file (really, more like a title), would be sufficient.

e.g., instead of:  20040114131736.png, it could be "BILLY_K_PROJECT1.png"

This allows teachers to go in and look at the students' work.  The number
convention, while useful for unique files...  s'not so good for humans to
read ;)
