Okay, I pulled the latest from CVS, and installed a newer FLTK into
my Debian/Woody system again
( source: "deb http://mirrorlynx.com/debian stable contrib main non-free" )

Wow, it's looking awesome!!!

Here are some initial comments:

  * Default options should be set, if none were loaded from an
    existing ".tuxpaintrc" file.

    - For example, when I launch it, neither "640x480" nor "800x600"
      radio buttons are checked.

By default, 640x480 (the current default mode of Tux Paint)
should be selected, if not overridden by an "800x600=yes" line in the
      ".tuxpaintrc" file.

    - To cover all of the default options:

      Video & Sound:

        [ ] Fullscreen
        (X) 640x480
        ( ) 800x600
        [X] Sound

      Mouse & Keyboard:

        [X] Fancy cursors
        [ ] Grab
        [X] Wheel mouse
        [X] Shortcuts

      Complexity:
        ( ) Simple
        (X) Complex
        [X] Quit
        [ ] Outlines
        [X] Stamp controls

      Locale:
        Language: [ blank ]
        [ ] Mirror stamps

      Printer:
        [X] Print
        Print Delay: 0
Print Command: [ hmm.. not sure! ]

      Saving:
        (X) Ask
        ( ) New
        ( ) Neither
Save Directory: [ blank? or show default? ]

      Configuration:
        [X] Stamps
        [X] System config

  * "Save Directory" (in "Saving" tab) should not be a pulldown, but
should be a type-in field, or, if possible, a 'browse' dialog (or both).

Umm... I guess that's it, so far as basic comments. I think it needs
a "Save", "Quit without Saving" and "Revert" buttons, to commit, not-commit
and undo setting changes, respectively.

Or something similar... (Simply closing "tuxpaint-config" should be
like "Quit without Saving", or better yet, prompt the user to save or not)

In my opinion, the way KDE Configuration Center does things is very good.
(I do NOT like the new GNOME way of 'automatically changing settings'
right when you click the options. That's quite irritating and not friendly,
in my opinion! How hard it is to have an "Apply" button!?)

:)

I'll send another email in a moment covering all of the descriptions
(and/or label changes) that I feel it needs.

Also, how hard will it be to translate things using gettext()?

Thanks!
