The Cleveland Blade followed up and discovered he *is* a registered
voter (with an "o" where the "u" should be in his last name in the
database) but he is *not* a registered or licensed plumber. That's
right: Joe the Plumber is not a plumber, at least legally.  Indeed,
stepping into the spotlight might cost him and the company he works
for dearly as a raft of violations has been uncovered from public
records (including a lien on his house for unpaid taxes!) so I hope
he's really enjoy his 15 minutes.
