In a slightly related note - one of the (many) gripes surrounding this
incarnation of Knight Rider is KITT's seeming inability to catch
other, potentially slower vehicles (like the Ford Edges in the spring
movie) in a high-speed chase. It seems to me that the original series
solved this problem a good 25 years ago - and no, I'm not talking
about Turbo Boost. The original KITT had the ability to 'microjam' a
vehicle's brake system, bringing the target vehicle to a stop and
allowing KITT to catch up quickly without collateral damage. Why
would the writers/producers eliminate this feature from the 'new'
KITT?
