Numbers is a 10pm show. I don't know if Daily Show/Colbert Report
start at 10pm in those flyover states, but here in California (a.k.a.
fake America), they start at 11pm.

Having a DVR for the first time ever and cable for the first time in
several years, mostly I use it to record the good shows that air in
the middle of the night, because there is so little on during daytime
and primetime which I would actually watch. I come home to the
previous night's (or morning's) episodes of "Robot Chicken," "Wings,"
"Night Court," "Daily Show," and "Colbert Report." That was basically
how I treated my VCRs when they were in use (I still use them to
transfer programs to VHS to show at school, or if there is something I
want to save for myself... I haven't been ambitious enough to burn
stuff onto my computer hard drive, then to a DVD), though in those
days they also recorded "Millennium" and "The John Larroquette Show."
