Aside from the night of Bill "The Negotiator" Shatner's but hurricane
weekend, the candidate may note have been available when the show
wanted. Since you know the Obama kids bedtime's might take precedence as
well.

It's been a View tradition. The youngest panelist (when blonde) has been
a moron. Lisa Ling was the exception. Hasselback got her gig by being a
token conservative and by taking her clothes off (and still not winning)
one season of Survivor. She campaigned with Palin last week and was
noted to have been wearing a "The Greatest AmeriCAIN Hero" shirt on "The
View." She's the Ann Coulter of what was until the Rosie O'Donnell era
an inconsequential series politically.

I've read "Celebrity Rehab" and Ro was treated poorly by both Baba Waw a
and Elizabeth in a period that really did put the show on the map. Ms.
O'Donnell did what she was hired to do in the Meredith Viera show
moderator position -- managing the conversations, though that pitted her
against Baba.

It was because the show can't find another African American comedienne
to hire. (Fat white kids sure - The Seth Roganesque Bobby Moynihan and
the Ricky Lake-ish Casey Wilson both of UCB haven't added much but
chipmunky giggling.) Maya had to be talked back into coming back so they
could have a Michelle Obama and Keenan Thompson has to play Oprah and
Whoopi.

I'm wondering whether the Olbermann sketch was part of why McCain agreed
to appear. "Oh don't worry, Senator, we'll attack the Dems too."

I feel the same way when I watch Bill O'Reilly. Woof, papa bear!
