I'd judge Saturday night's pre-Thanksgiving SNL ep as middling at best. A few laughs here and there. The usual dead spots and why'd-they- waste-time-with-that moments. Even with nu-country bore Tim McGraw hosting, I kinda liked the wild-turkey and white-rapper sketches, tolerated the Bond spoof, and laughed at Ms. Wiig's inviso-braces bit. But I believe that the show would have been better if they hadn't cut a profane Rahm Emmanuel sketch that somehow still ended up on hulu: http://www.hulu.com/watch/45817/saturday-night-live-rahm-emmanuel
It struck me as a cold open, but that spot was taken by the auto- industry bailout-hearings sketch with Fred Armisen as Barney Frank. To me, Andy Samberg's Rahm was funnier. Wonder why he was chucked... --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ Like TV only smarter.
