The final tournament puzzle (the one seeded with Q's) doesn't exist outside of the show. Merl made the grid per the specifications of the script, but as far as I know, he didn't write clues for it. I'll confirm this with him sometime. The other puzzles glimpsed in the show were from the archives of the New York Times. One of them was by Kevan Choset (PLAYITAGAINSAM, 4/25/06) and one by Tyler Hinman (solved by Ilsa, 3/3/06). I think there was also a Bob Peoples puzzle from 3/4/06, but I can't confirm it, having deleted the show already.
