Since this topic is treading deep into my career territory, I'll just add that these clowns are simply two more examples of the democratization of cultural criticism in the wake of Web 2.0, Every bonehead with a blog and an opinion - no matter how ill-informed - fancies that he or she is as valid and significant a critic as those who have devoted their lives to the study and elucidation of the arts. Articulate? Who needs it when there are shallow, ignorant blurbs to be spewed?
