I see/hear it with such frequency on the handful of present day shows
I watch that, unless it is a show I need to really watch to enjoy
and/or understand (i.e. - Numbers, Chuck, or any other show featuring
a cute chick who deserves my attention), I am rapidly becoming a
passive viewer.

By the way, the audio for the first two ABC episodes of "Scrubs"
sounded like it had been funneled through a dead badger.
