Channel 4's latest attempt at calculated controversy, a reality show called "Boys and Girls Together" that tries for a cross between "Big Brother" and "Kid Nation" as it throws 10 boys and 10 girls in a house without parental or any adult supervision, got lots of righteous indignation in the tabloids, but when it came to actual viewers for last night's premiere--well, more people watched docuseries about traffic cops and emergency personnel and "CSI Original" counting down to William Petersen's departure (although "Boys and Girls" did do a little better than the long-running science doc series "Horizon," model for "Nova"):
