The answer to your question is obviously Yes. If Congress was controlled by Republicans and radical left wing hosts were dominating local radio markets, you can be sure there would be a few Senators talking about legislation to force a change. That does not make it the right thing to do of course. But note that Debbie Stabenow is not exactly a powerhouse in the Senate, and President Obama is against bringing back the Fairness Doctrine. I don't think you are going to see that happen. You might see (or at least, should see) not a law requiring equal time for political speech, but something legislation putting a little more teeth into stations using the public airwaves making room for all points of view. Stations could still cash the checks written by Rush and all the other clone's big mouths and fat asses, but they should have at least a few hours per week when people with other views can use the public airwaves to be heard. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ TV or Not TV ....
