Last night, Will Young, the first winner of the original UK "Pop Idol," appeared on "Question Time," the long-running, very serious BBC1 panel discussion show, which is a little like David Gregory interviewing Kelly Clarkson or He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named on "Meet the Press." The Guardian's blogger, who ordinarily doesn't watch the show, thought that Young acquitted himself well, although several commenters who do watch the show thought otherwise:
http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/organgrinder/2009/feb/06/will-young-question-time As for the ratings, "Question Time" in its 10:35 p.m. time slot was able to hang on to most of the 10 p.m. news audience and get a very respectable 25 share, although one wonders if some of Young's fans with digital or satellite were going to turn away from "Skins" on E4 to watch him discuss the issues of the day: http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2009/feb/06/will-young-question-time-tv-ratings Since the Guardian article didn't mention the terrestrial competition, we will: "Newsnight" on BBC2, "Dexter" on ITV (which the cool people have already watched on FX UK), the movie "Sleepy Hollow" on Channel 4 and the movie "13 Ghosts" on Channel 5. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ TV or Not TV ....
