I liked them a lot. There is room for improvement in execution, but I think it is a good idea to give each nominee more of a moment in the sun. After all, it is not really true that all have won and all get prizes - these are 5 finalists out of lots of actors who have already "lost". I am not sure if each presenter actually wrote their own copy - in any case some would have benefited from a little more thought. The speeches to the two lesser known lead nominees were almost condescending. I don't mind that all the comments all positive (it is an awards show) but maybe the copy should be written by a critic or acting coach, who could give more specific and concrete observations about what was unique and notable about the particular performance.
