I assume PBS has always scheduled pledge drives out of sweeps to avoid accusations of programming for ratings, although, as we all know, pledge drives ain't exactly dramatizations of Sophocles and "Frontline" episodes (the only time that show will be on at least early in the month will be for stations to repeat the "Dreams of Obama" episode, which they assume will be a big money magnet for them). --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ TV or Not TV ....
