I like D.L., and I liked portions of his show. He is, by far, a better interviewer than Larry King or Charlie Rose. The monologues never seemed to click, but I liked the comedic exchanges he had with CNN reporters (reminded me of NPR newsman Carl Kasell being able to laugh it up on Wait Wait...). And, at day's end, I agree with something Hughley said on the first episode of his show... that America has a black president... it needs a black talk show host. If D.L. is not the guy, that's fine, but we need to find somebody who can do the job, and a network willing to give him (or her) a chance. -- Kevin M. (RPCV)
