I have to say I agree, both with Michael, and almost with The Rock,
who closed the show by shouting "we kicked ass tonight!". I actively
disdain Johnson, both in his wrestler role, and in the film roles he
has had so far. I started watching SNL this morning reluctantly, and I
thought I would just check in, ff to Update and then check-out. But
the show was actually in the good-to-very good range (not quite full
on kick-ass, but pretty damn good). Even the MacGrouber bits were good
this week. I also agree that the Jessica Simpson appearance was a
highlight, even though I may be one of the few heterosexual men who
does generally get the appeal of Ms. Biel (if I were JT I would make
her dress up in that Rabbit outfit every night). My only quibble might
be that with TImberlake and the Bon Jovi bit it was a little
derivative of the first two Fallon shows this week - but even at that
much better.

This was Samberg's second Cathy appearance (at least, maybe third?) so
I guess if there were any "intellectual" property rights at stake they
would have been resolved by now.
