I miss science fiction. The Outer Limits kind. The Asimov and Bradbury
kind involving fiction and you know science. Not phasers and space
pirate ships and cowboy captains.

I miss the Q or Data episodes of The Next Generation as opposed to Jeri
Ryan wearing glitter and a cat suit or Bakula attempting to find the
Zindi weapon or whatever that was.

I miss smart writing as opposed to ... Squid Tornado Crisis (the
Saturday Night MADLib plotted guy in rubber suit movies.)

The Fantasy Channel must be registered to the people who run Spice
Channel? That tested worse than Sigh F-why?

What happens to the libraries of movies the channel used to show? (Not
that I'm weeping that Hulk, Dark Shadows, or Automan marathons may be as
easily found on the schedule.)

But hey ... Syfy can now run Wings. The guys fly, Roy has a job. Nobody
was sleeping with Crystal Bernard and Amy Yazbek was considered a
talented actress. That's science fiction.

I guess they can sell Snuggies and the Sham Wow better to Penny than to
Leonard and Sheldon across the hall. Sy. :(
