Though D.L. Hughley's CNN series has been cancelled, he's still
chugging away over at MyNetwork, as one of the "toasters" on "Shaken
Not Stirred." The show is a semi-regular series that provides a voice
for minority men in much the same way "The View" provides a voice for
whiny women. The basic concept is to roast the guest of honor, though
in a much tamer way than the Friar's Club Roasts or the subsequent
roasts on Comedy Central. Though their choice of guests often leaves a
lot to be desired, I have been impressed with the interviews
themselves. Bobby Brown, alleged Whitney-beater and equally alleged to
be the drug dealer to the stars, is the subject of this week's toast.

Press release follows:

Bobby Brown on MyNetworkTV’s “Shaken Not Stirred”

What: “Shaken Not Stirred” is an uproarious show with “Vegas Style”
flair; morphing the old-school roast with edgy nighttime talk –pushing
the envelope with a full hour of straightforward and sexy,
no-holds-barred comedic fun with some of today’s most popular and
controversial celebrities.

In this new installment, “toasters” Anthony Anderson, DL Hughley, Paul
Rodriguez and John Salley welcome musician Bobby Brown.

Upcoming toastees include Rev. Run (May 27th)

When: Wednesday, April 1st at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT
