Len Berman, voice of sports on WNBC for over 24 years, is taking a buyout from NBCU and leaving at the end of the month, in a newsroom racked by layoffs, forcing employees to reapply for their jobs and the so-far unimpressive new digital channel New York Nonstop, which is not giving Time Warner's all-news channel NY1 any sleepless nights:
