The video clip is nearly flawless in presenting that story. It has a narrative arc to it, telling one of our most ancient stories. A person whose great worth is hidden from the world stands before the public. They not only judge her, they dismiss her as worthless. Then she opens her mouth and the treasure is revealed. Not only is she given credit for her great worth, those who judged her loudly repent their rash judgment. There is a truism that people like being manipulated and resent knowing they're being manipulated. I have to give BGT credit for taking the taping of an audition performance and making a story that resonates with so many people that the clip has been viewed 15 million times on YouTube already.
