The two-year contract, held for nine months due to squabblings over
the expiration date, among other things, is scheduled to be voted on
by the SAG national board on Sunday and should avoid a strike:

Of course, it should be pointed out that almost every fall pilot is
under the jurisdiction of the putative live/tape show performers union
AFTRA--and as more and more scripted series television is shot on
digital video instead of film, SAG's presence in the business may
stand to lessen.
