I was sleeping --please don't throw me off-list for ignoring the big transition!
A quick flip through the SF Bay stations (via attic antenna) shows that the three low-budget PBS'ers aren't broadcasting signal on many of their secondary channels. KMTP (formerly 32, now 33 -- stuff in many foreign languages) is showing "technical problems" screen and a list of what's supposed to be on. Says it will take "a day or so" and gives their phone number. This is on all four of their channels. They actually say "Oops!" Locals via DirecTV come in fine, except they've never showed any of the secondary channels, and don't carry all the stations, like aforesaid KMTP. It's annoyed me, esp. since the big PBS station (KQED 9) has several different schedules on their alt. channels. And it's not like I *need* the weather info on the ABC and NBC stations, but it's the principle of the thing. Comcast Analog Local-Only (yes, some of us are still grandfathered into that) looks exactly the same as always. I haven't tried rescanning with our one converter box yet. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ TV or Not TV .... Smart (TV) People on Ice!
