Earlier this year, Ticketmaster started routing fans to their secondary market service TicketsNow in the middle of the initial sale of tickets for the concern (some reported being immediately sent there without reaching the Ticketmaster site).

I've often wondered what would happen if a major artist decided to completely shut out the ticket sites and sold tickets themselves, either by using a third-party vendor or an auction-style system.
