It's all in the protocol. If the client is using POP3, then all mail on the server is downloaded to the client and (usually) deleted from the server. If you use IMAP (which is what GMail, Exchange, and Apple's MobileMe use), the mail lives on the server and status is mirrored in all environments (web, desktop client, etc.)
If the Juno client allows the user to select the protocol used, and you want Dad Jersey's client & webmail to always mirror each other, change the protocol to IMAP.
