Except....I did not read his use of the mother as an attempt to elicit any kind of information from the guy. It wasn't like Kanye came out all defensive and rationalizing and Leno had to find a way to try to pierce through that to see if there was any genuine remorse. From the start it was clear that Kanye was trying to apologize, and felt bad about it (or at least knew he was supposed to feel bad about it). Leno brought up the mother basically to try to make him cry. And he got the next best thing - long dramatic silence followed by incomprehensible rambling. I can give Leno credit for realizing that from a "good tv" stand point the prolonged silence was working for him and he should not interrupt it, but that is about it. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ TV or Not TV ....
