3 people on the ship read ancient. Eli, Rush and the other guy who was 
on the shuttle. Eli's knowledge was basic (same as the other dude) but 
it's not inconceivable that they haven't picked more up.

I too don't see the "refueling" as a cheat. The ancients knew this ship 
would be out there for thousands of years (I believe 100K+). It would 
make sense to have a smallish power supply and have to refuel along the 
way, as needed.

Do remember that this ship is chasing ANOTHER ship which is seeding 
planets with stargates. They planned it to be out there (both of them) 
for eons.

Also, it would make sense that the pilot of the shuttle (tired, can't 
think of names) would have a general idea of how to fly it. It's fair to 
say he's had training of some sort in shuttle technology and since both 
are ancient design, it stands to reason he could figure out how to fly it.

Oh, and can you really dis the physics of the landing? On a show about a 
giant space ship, capable of faster-than-light speed, built by a race of 
humans (the Atlanteans) who predate us by millions of years who have 
ascended to a higher plane of being.
