Maybe this is why I enjoy a show like "Top Gear," where celebrities
show up but the main focus is not the promotion of their current
projects.

For that matter, it was why I enjoyed the old FX (back then it was fx)
morning show with Tom Bergeron, where chaos reigned, and any
celebrities who appeared on the show literally looked like they'd
accidentally walked into somebody's apartment in the middle of the
taping of an adult film (with a puppet). Good luck working a movie
promo into your segment when you're sitting on the toilet while
Bergeron is next to you in a bathtub filled with bubbles.

Who was the actress that said, "I do the movie for free, but I get
paid $10 million to promote it"?
