Several reliable sources (and Perez Hilton) report that Bonnie told
her staff Monday that "The Bonnie Hunt Show" will call it a day at the
end of the season after a bumpy two-year run, although neither Warner
Bros. nor the NBC-owned stations that carry her show in the biggest
markets have indicated anything:

The show seems to be hurt by stations not willing to pay license fees
for shows other than the biggest hits, preferring to take barter
instead. However, Hunt seemed to run a much blander route on her show
than in her exchanges with David Letterman that probably got her the
gig--and at some point, she is going to have to cut loose her buddies
Don Lake and Holly Wortell from her TV projects (Lake and Wortell were
both actors on her unsuccessful sitcoms--on the talk show, Lake was
announcer/sidekick and a producer, Wortell was a writer). Hunt also
fought with Warner Bros. over having a live house band led by another
buddy, Nick Pike--she won, but Warners responded by banning clearance
of music not owned by Warners and then, this season, cutting the
band's work down to one day a week, where they play one live show and
record cues, if needed, for the rest of the week (Pike appears on
camera miming playing a keyboard in ludicrous close-ups that still
reveal that there are no other musicians around).

Meanwhile, the NBC-owned stations are expected to replace Bonnie with
a repackage of Bravo's "Real Housewives" franchise from NBCU
Distribution (despite the fact that reality and cable show repeats
have never achieved mainstream success in syndication), while Warners
is pitching its "View" clone "MomLogic" (with Kate Gosselin as a
panelist--eewww!). Both, needless to say, are barter deals.
