I just watched the video clip from the end of Charlie Gibson's last World
News Tonight. I thought it was great, with his staff applauding him and he
applauding his staff. The video package of farewells was good (though, if
memory serves, I didn't see Diane Sawyer).
Sawyer, though, was mentioned by Gibson as taking over the job on Monday.
("My pal Diane Sawyer...")
I think it is also a bit of a coming-out for the new Mickey Mouse voice Bret
Iwan as he takes over for the late Wayne Allwine. Also good to see Kermit in
his reporter get-up sending Charlie off.
