Fremantle did a pilot for Fox a few years ago for prime time, with the
new title "What the Blank?" and Fred Willard hosting.  From what I
hear, it was better than anyone expected, but not exploitative enough
for Mike Darnell, obviously.

The problem I have is that to me the 70s version was classic lightning-
in-a-bottle, even if it was Goodson-Todman using people they knew
would work from other panel shows.  It will be difficult to get
anything close to the exact same chemistry (or lack of, in Dawson's
last months with the show) that the 70s version had.
