Are network executives rewarded for short term audience gains without consideration for longer term health? If you get significant bonuses by raising your network's share by 0.1 then you might be incetivised to go hell for leather stripping Millionaire, or Deal Or No Deal across every slot available to get a quick "fix" of audience. If that audience doesn't hang around, then that's not your problem, because you're long gone by then anyway... Just a thought! (For all I know, network executives aren't on bonus schemes like this.
