I just had me and the touch screen. The fifth graders I used as the guinea pigs really took to the game (I increased the number of contestants so more kids could play at the same time, but otherwise stuck to the format of the show). Instead of generic fill-in-the-blanks, I used idioms (have to make it educational, you know). My favorite response was to the question "All that glitters is not __________ ." One of the kids said "bling." We didn't get to "Super Match," which was a shame because I worked hard recreating the board for those, but (as used to happen in the series itself), we were goofing off and ran out of time.
Next week, more advanced questions for the upper grade kids.
