I agree re: the studio being repurposed, but in a way, that's a great little insight into the world of television, the business we call show, as Kevin likes to say. Nothing lasts forever, everyone eventually moves on to something new.is this getting through to you yet, Jay? I second the request for wordless Conan appearances on Letterman. Or accompanied by a lawyer. Or anything else. But I would guess Conan will lay low for a little while. It was a fun show Friday night, a classy end from a classy guy. Leno is dead to me. For those interested in Rosie O'Donnell and Howard Stern's take on the situation, see (or rather, listen) here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pZ2fZH2XqNw http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jJVH6SzYRlk KR From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of David Bruggeman Sent: Saturday, January 23, 2010 7:37 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [TV orNotTV] Re: Leno's First 19 Weeks It could be like the recurring appearance of Paul Newman in the audience during the early "Late Show" years.
And if there's an issue with Conan being in New York during a taping, he could visit Craig as one of those aliens that communicate via whirling tubes. Or if there's a Conan puppet floating about, he could chat with Wavy Rancheros. And props to Fallon and the Roots for pouring the 40 for Coco. Though I find it depressing that The Dr. Oz show is taping in the old studio. David -- TV or Not TV .... The Smartest (TV) People!
