Her partner--her experience is not in ballroom dancing, which is
"DWTS"' strictly-come-dancing purview.

But it doesn't say "contestant" in the TMZ article--and I would think
that the other cast members would not be too happy that someone's
getting paid a lot more than they are to do the show.  She could very
well be hired to replace Carrie Ann at the judge's table (which would
be difficult in the fall, since "X Factor" is gong to be a fall show)
or Samantha "Boobs" Harris as Tom Bergeron's sidekick (Harris' other
job is co-hosting "The Insider" for CBS Distribution and one would
assume that her gig on "Dancing" precludes her from any prime time
work on CBS like red carpet shows and specials), although on the other
hand Bergeron's legendary pre-show meditation sessions will have to
become much longer for him to put up with Paula's prompter misreadings
and general screw-ups she would bring to that role.
