That would obviate the need for a cable box -- the HD TiVo replaces the
box (all you'd need from your cable company is a couple of magical
CableCards).
I looked into that, but right now, I'll hold off on the upgrade.
My machine is still working fine after 6-7 years (DonnyO's "Pyramid" was the
first show it recorded), and with the new TV and ongoing vacation planning,
I need to watch the spending.
