Comcast will hang NBC affiliates out to dry. I don't believe there is
enough quality programming/ideas out there to keep NBC running as a
network in it's current form.
The only Network affiliated station in this market that seems to have
a future longer than a few years is the CBS station. The facility
running the ABC/Fox signal is on the edge of bankruptcy and is only
transmitting a low power signal. The 2 facilities that were singular
Fox stations are gone already. The NBC affiliate that used to employ
me is having many internal problems, and it will get worse before it
gets better, if it gets better. You can't run a station on a
shoestring without it becoming blatantly obvious to the viewer...and
it is.
While it was an ugly departure from the industry, I am glad I am out
of broadcasting.
