Hey, it was a given that she would be amazing, but amazing doesn't
translate into laughter.

Not serious, but it is sad that the writers clearly had no other place
to go, and are still resorting to jokes about stereotypes. Yes, there
are also drunk Irishmen and Asians who have trouble pronouncing the
letters R and L, but it smacks of desperation to build a comedy sketch
about them in 2010.

Believe it or don't, but my annual viewings of SNL are always with the
hopes they will be funny. The Hugh Laurie episode a few years back was
good and I said so, but then I learned the funny bits were recycled
from decades-old episodes of "A Bit of Fry and Laurie," and that just
made me sad.
