Jack Buck always worked better for me tuning in Cardinal games on KMOX
than he did as a network announcer. In fact, as I think back to how
much more I liked him and Hank Stram than ABC's Monday Night Football
crew, it may just be that he was better on radio than on television.

As far as Joe goes, he's not that bad, and there are occasional
flashes of actual wit. He's just not good enough to be on every week
from the beginning of April to the beginning of February. And we've
heard everything McCarver has to say over the past couple decades.
