It aired, along with the other nominees: "Colbert Report"--clips of (mostly) gay weddings (they had a hetero wedding for the one woman writer) "TDS"--Dummies being blown up by dynamite "Real Time with Bill Maher"--YouTube videos of the writers and Maher (supposedly) wearing lingerie "SNL"--Fred Armisen's two-second impersonations of every writer, including Lorne Michaels As it turned out, the Creative Arts show's airing on Friday at 1 p.m. ET was its only airing on E!, as far as I know, which tells me that it will be on a different cable channel next year. And I'm sure ATAS didn't appreciate the lame jokes from Sal Masakela of "The Daily 10" being inserted into the program, especially when in recent years E! had kept its personalities out of the telecast (which otherwise is a pretty good and necessary editing down of what seems to be a long night in the theater). There was a transmission glitch that affected the DVR that cut out about five minutes from my recording, so I won't know until I contact Facebook friend and stage manager Debbie Williams if Robin Williams got his lap dance and whether he got it from Seth Green or Erika Christensen (Green that if he or Christensen blew any of the names of the animation winners, one of them would give Williams a lap dance). The other highlight--"Breaking Bad" showrunner Vance Gilligan's obscenity-laden rant against sound editors--"They take my (BLEEEP) Dr Pepper, even when I put my name on it!" Anna Gunn looked genuinely shocked--and she works with him every day. -- TV or Not TV .... The Smartest (TV) People!
