They are. In Chicago, ESPNC moved from analog to digital at Comcast xFinity and is presently--unless you subscribe to the "Sports Entertainment Package" that includes the bulk of the in-house sports channels (as in MLB, NHL, etc.), the horse racing channels and soccer channel GOLTV--only on the "Digital Premier" tier. In exchange, the lower digital tiers get ESPNU and ESPNews. Comcast has also in recent years moved SyFy and Hallmark into three- digit channel land (and yes, the old ladies are pissed on the latter) and moved Comcast-owned Versus and Golf Channel down to analog (and ShopNBC). -- TV or Not TV ....
