ESPN has ESPNU and ESPNEWS. The latter could easily be used for overflow, especially since they've effectively abandoned any sort of weekday midday live coverage since they now air those quasi-live SportsCenters on the mothership (they now air the highlight package until 3 PM ET). ESPN2 was supposed to be all about alternative sports, and that branding faded away pretty quickly (four years or so IIRC). With the simulcast of Colin Cowherd's Three-Hour Fact-Free Royal Waste Of Time, they can't even fill that network with only college sports (which, you know, is the point of the stinking network). -- TV or Not TV ....
