One of my favorite writers (whom I had the extreme privilege of meeting when I was interning on The Tom Snyder Show) says the end is near, and his next convention appearance (this weekend at MadCon) will be his last. He's also given orders that anything he hasn't finished by the time he drops is to be destroyed.
If you haven't read his work or seen his scripts produced on screen, I would highly recommend finding a used copy of "The Glass Teat," a collection of his work as a TV critic at the long-gone LA Free Press. The man has a genuine gift for injecting reality into fantasy and breathing life into fictional characters. http://www.thedailypage.com/isthmus/article.php?article=30610 -- Kevin M.
