An iso feed shown last night on "Dancing With the Stars" shows conclusively that the studio audience was booing the judges' unwillingness to give Jennifer Grey a higher score than all 8s and not Tom Bergeron approaching Sarah Palin to chat with her before her daughter performed:

Which means that if you hear laughing at a remark in Burke's chats, it's not the audience--it's Bob LaMasney/Boyd Wheeler/Christian Shrader's sweetening box. (I've already decided that with a few exceptions, they leave the audience mikes off during tape packages and it's all canned laughter, particularly for those painful "DanceCenter" bits with Kenny Mayne and Len Goodman.) I assume that the producers are acting like Kevin M. always assured us reality show producers act and are thinking that the audience is too stupid to notice. -- TV or Not TV ....
