I am a fan of the franchise (except I detest SVU), and I also was not
impressed with LOLA. Kevin is on to something with his diagnosis of part of
the problem - I am not just thinking that the pop culture references will
age quickly, but it came across to me as a clumsy and rushed attempt to
establish the superficial SOCAL cultural context.

Since I am a fan I will keep watching for a while, hoping it establishes an
identity.
