Funny you should mention that. TW Signature has been available in my part of town since September. They're competing with AT&T U-Verse in CLT, but we're physically outside the AT&T service area. Our trial price is $179.99/month for a year. I haven't installed it yet, due to some weirdness witht the way my house alarm is wired and (the larger reason) the new MoCa boxes don't yet support the 1TB DVR expander that I have hooked into one of our Explorer 8300 boxes. One of my neighbors has it and he loves it. The installer is very thorough, and runs new cable to the pedestal if your signal isn't up to par (we have underground wiring, so everything runs to pedestals at the street). They make sure all your home network devices work before they consider the installation complete. He's had to replace one box due to a bad hard drive, and TWC was there the morning after he called with a fresh one. He's called tech support with internet questions and they spare him all of the tired "have you rebooted your computer?" scripts. I'm not sure how it compares in other areas of the country, since the last time I had to call TWC for a signal issue they rolled a truck within half a day of my calling them and I don't yet have the Signature service. Earlier this month, TWC boosted their standard internet speeds to 10/1 and 15/1 for the DOCSIS 2.0 service, and they offer 30/5 and 50/5 DOCSIS 3.0 service without having to get the whole Signature package. They've also rolled out the three day "Look Back" feature on about 20 channels to all digital customers when they initally only offered that to the Signature customers. Except for the periodic fights with programming providers (including the NFL Network), what's not to like? Having service in one of their headquarters cities seems to have its perks, as we frequently get the new toys before other areas. -Stan -- TV or Not TV .... The Smartest (TV) People!
