I know you were joking, but much more was made about "Wheel of
Fortune" and "Jeopardy!" coming to CBC Television.

For the record, this is the first U.S. public radio series on the CBC--
American Public Media beams the first hour of "As It Happens" into the
states every weeknight (with the 6 p.m. newscast replaced by their own
"Future Tense," although it has a new name branding it "Marketplace"--
this is because in most U.S. cities the newscast slot is at the bottom
of the hour, although I assume that a local newscast or the BBC bottom-
of-the-hour newscast could be inserted or, if "ATC"'s still in
rotation when aired, Ann Taylor's bottom-of-the-hour newscast could
also be inserted). PRI distributes the daily interview show "Q" and
the similar-to-"TAL" "Wire-Tap." And several CBC shows are
distributed to the U.S. by the online download co-op Public Radio
Exchange, including the highbrow doc series "Ideas," the long-running
science show "Quirks and Quarks" and the Kellior-ish "Vinyl Cafe."
