Remember, though, if you do catch them on PBS, you'll be missing at
least ten minutes of each episode. Same as "Downton Abbey*."

I guess we're supposed to be grateful that they allow us to see these
abridged versions.

transition from the seven UK episodes to the four US ones. Jace Lacob
calculated that the total UK running time was six hours. The four
Masterpiece eps, minus non-program material: five hours, 20 minutes.
